ISS offers Simulated Moving Bed (SMB) technology and systems for commercial liquid separation processes. SMB technology is an advanced chromatographic process that employs adsorbent media for separation of organic and inorganic compounds. Our SMB systems allow production scale separation processes to be continuous with high product purity and recovery. The SMB process is being used in small to large industrial scale production (columns up to 5 meters in diameter) to produce a variety of high purity products. Our chromatography technology may be used for pharmaceutical, sweetener, agrichemical, biotechnology, functional food and health product, and beverage applications, to name just a few.
